Curious about bonsai but not sure where to start? This hands-on class is the perfect introduction! We'll walk you through bonsai basics—from choosing the right plant to pruning, styling, and care. Then, you’ll create your very own bonsai to take home, with guidance every step of the way.

We’ll provide everything you need: a plant, bonsai pot, gravel, soil, and wire—plus a beginner tool set (snipping scissors + pliers) that’s yours to keep!

Whether you’re a total newbie or just need a refresher, you’ll leave with a new bonsai, new tools, and the confidence to keep it thriving.

This class is very hands on. Bring garden gloves if you have them!

WHERE: Upstairs** at South Pleasantburg Nursery
COST: $85 (Non-refundable) Fee includes all materials to make one bonsai, beginner tool set, and instruction.

Media release:

By participating in this event, I grant SP Nursery LLC and its representatives the right to take photographs, video recordings, and other media of me while I am on the physical property (1135 S. Pleasantburg Dr.) and during the event. I further grant permission for these images or videos to be used in marketing materials, including but not limited to social media, websites, and print publications, without expectation of compensation. I understand and agree that SP Nursery LLC owns all rights to such media and may use them at their discretion.

Liability release:

In consideration of my participation in a class at South Pleasantburg Nursery, I hereby release, waive, and discharge SP Nursery LLC, its owners, employees, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action that may arise from my presence on the property or participation in the event. This release applies to all risks, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or loss, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. I acknowledge that my participation is voluntary and assume all risks associated with this activity. I authorize my typed name in this answer to represent my legal signature.
