Landscaping with Intention is an introductory course designed for those who want to move beyond the "plant and pray" method and start designing with a professional eye. Whether you are starting with a blank slate or looking to refine an existing garden, this class provides the essential roadmap for thoughtful landscape creation.

What You Will Learn:

Foundation & Site Assessment:

Learn how to identify your yard's unique obstacles and opportunities. We’ll cover how to analyze soil, sun patterns, and drainage to ensure your design thrives.

Purpose & Function:

Define the "why" behind your space. We’ll explore how to designate zones for recreation, privacy, or wildlife habitats.

The Principles of Design:

Understand the "rules" of design such as repetition, rhythm, and harmony, to create a space that feels unified rather than cluttered.

The Design Elements:

A deep dive into the visual building blocks of a garden: Line, Form, Texture, Color, and Space to give your landscape depth, movement, and personality.

Visual Inspiration:

The class will feature a small selection of visual examples to help you see these abstract concepts in real-world applications.

Join us to learn how to see your garden through the lens of a designer.

WHEN: Tuesday, February 10 @ 3-4pm

WHERE: Upstairs* in a classroom setting

COST: $25 (Non-refundable) Fee covers the cost for instruction and attendees with receive a $5 voucher for in store use after class completion.

Media release:

By participating in this event, I grant SP Nursery LLC and its representatives the right to take photographs, video recordings, and other media of me while I am on the physical property (1135 S. Pleasantburg Dr.) and during the event. I further grant permission for these images or videos to be used in marketing materials, including but not limited to social media, websites, and print publications, without expectation of compensation. I understand and agree that SP Nursery LLC owns all rights to such media and may use them at their discretion.

Liability release:

In consideration of my participation in a class at South Pleasantburg Nursery, I hereby release, waive, and discharge SP Nursery LLC, its owners, employees, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action that may arise from my presence on the property or participation in the event. This release applies to all risks, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or loss, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. I acknowledge that my participation is voluntary and assume all risks associated with this activity. I authorize my typed name in this answer to represent my legal signature.
